City – Urban Landscape

In every growing city, there is a quiet struggle between nature and buildings. Cities grow with big dreams, their tall towers of steel and glass reaching into the sky. But under all this, nature tries to survive, often pushed aside by the city’s growth. In the artwork City – Urban Landscape, green and urban elements come together—sometimes peacefully, sometimes in conflict.

In the upper left of the artwork, there is a large metallic blue shape with a grid-like texture. This shape stands for city buildings, and its grid pattern reminds us of industrial design. However, its uneven, natural shape is different from the stiff grid, showing the struggle between the flowing natural world and the fixed, man-made structures.

If you look closely, you can see thin epoxy lines flowing down from the grid, like water drops. These lines go downward and form small droplets at the bottom of the artwork. This detail gives a feeling of movement, showing how nature, like water, finds a way to flow through and around even the hardest, most rigid parts of a city. The difference between the grid and the flowing drops shows the ongoing conflict between nature and human-made environments.

On the right side, there are two bowl-like shapes, one metallic orange and the other with a touch of bronze. These stand out against the textured background. The bowls are partly filled with epoxy resin, making them shiny and reflective, like water. The water represents how nature adapts and survives in cities. The bowls stand out against the green and orange background, showing the balance and struggle between nature and the city.

In the bottom left, there is a metallic gold circle, also filled with epoxy resin, representing water in the city. Its shiny surface reflects light and gives a feeling of movement, symbolizing nature’s persistence against the stiff structures of the city. This gold circle is the main focus, showing how nature and the city interact.

The rich orange and green background around these shapes shows the difference between urban growth and nature. The orange, with its industrial look, represents city lights, while the green shows the power of nature. The mix of these colors shows how nature and cities sometimes blend and other times stay separate.

The textures in the artwork add depth, with cracks and raised areas showing the hidden history under the city. These details make viewers think about how nature keeps existing, even within human-built spaces, and how nature and cities, though often in conflict, can live together in a delicate balance.
